Convivencia: new way of coexistence in the workplace

Future of Work April 15, 2021

One of the main wrong consideration in societies is that technology is always neutral. Technology is never neutral. The role of technology is to make the system more effective. If we let the technology work on its own then the human side will be left aside just because we will concentrate on effectiveness.

How do we create a community, a space, an ecosystem in which relations among its members will take into account all the different identities of each individual member not only his/her “work” identity

Whether it is possible organizations allow us to bring ourselves in to work as full people, not having to leave aside part of our life and of our identity.

When we talk about the workplace we have to start by looking the social pact, the social agreement that the society makes between the state and the private sector.

The secret element of the consideration of the dignity of identities is to put our world together in a way which we don’t have to choose between living together and be who we are.

«Convivencia», a new way of coexistence in the workplace, conversation with Gabriele Segre, Director of Vittorio Dan Segre Foundation and co-founders of Re-Public Polina Lampsa and Dimitris Oikonomou.
